In its jazz series ‘Jazz & Lyrics’, the BigBand of the Deutsche Oper Berlin presents six themed jazz concerts in the Tischlerei with members of the BigBand and guests in smaller formations. The concerts are dedicated to a specific theme or composer and fuse music with poetry. Texts, biographical information and poetry as well as background information on the respective theme make these concerts a special experience.
This Spring the orchestra puts it focus on a very special topic: synesthesia in Jazz. I have been invited to join the orchestra on stage. Prepare for an evening of beautiful songs of famous synethetic musician, combined with a beautiful selection of live visuals as well as a live painting.
